People start to emerge early in the morning. It is a beautiful day, nice and misty.

My friend, Haley, and I went on a early morning walk up on the mountain. It was absolutely beautiful.

After the session everyone stayed late talking and fellowshiping. I am glad because there are alot of my friends here. There are a lot of people helping make everything run. I am helping with registration, which I really enjoy.

We will be hosting Scott Brown, elder at Hope Baptist Church in Wake Forest, North Carolina and director of the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches, for a conference with us Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 in Fresno.

He’ll also be preaching at our church in Oakhurst, on Sunday, June 24th, 2012.

Christ Community Bible Church will be gathering for the first service with our newly planted daughter church, Kings Canyon Christian Assembly, at their temporary location in Orange Cove, California.

Directions

From 41 South, come east on 180 / Kings Canyon, past Academy (at Sanger), through Centerville, across the Kings River.

Hwy 180 turns to the south at Minkler, right after crossing the river and comes to a 2-way stop…you will not have to stop as you travel in the southbound lane. Turn left…thus remaining on 180. If you continue south, you would then be on Reed Ave. heading toward into Reedley.

Continue east on 180 to Cove Road, just at the bottom of the foothills. There is an overhead highway warning sign overhead right there at the bottom of the hill…as a landmark.

Turn right (south) on Cove and go to American

Turn left on American and go to Hills Valley Rd.

Turn left (north) on Hills Valley and go 1.5 miles to our lane. You will be able to see out shop building up on the hill on the “back forty”.

Our address sign is on the right hand side of the road. Also, as a landmark, there is a small grey colored ranch style house on the left hand side of the road just across from our address sign.

Turn right and go down our lane beside the orange trees about ¼ mile, go through the gate at the second address sign, and come up the hill to our house beyond the shop.

Jim Newheiser of Grace Bible Church in Escondido, California will be preaching on Sunday, October 9.

Jim holds an M.A. and a D.Min. from Westminster Theological Seminary in California. He is the director of counseling for the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship (IBCD) and Fellow of the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC). Jim is the author of Opening Up Proverbs (Day One, 2008) and the co-author of When Good Kids Make Bad Choices (Harvest House, 2005).

Christ Community Bible Church will be holding our annual campout at the Wawona Campground in Yosemite National Park on September 8-11, 2011. We will be gathering for worship there.
